In Russia, Elcoteq has manufacturing operations in St Petersburg. Elcoteq’s manufacturing operations in Russia were established in 1998. In October 2005, Elcoteq inaugurated a new plant in St. Petersburg with a production area of about 15 000 m2. Elcoteq now employs about 500 people in St. Petersburg. The number is expected to increase by the end of 2007.
